Pisco sour

The Pisco Sour was created nearly 100 years ago in Peru.

The Pisco Sour was created by American bartender Victor Vaughen Morris in the early 1920s in Lima, Peru. This simple and smooth cocktail gets it name from the base spirit used to make it, pisco. Pisco is a brandy that is produced in the winemaking regions of Chile and Peru.

Ingredients

2 ounces Pisco

1 ounce fresh lime juice

.5 ounce simple syrup

1 egg white

Garnish with Angostura 

bitters

Directions

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice and shake vigorously. Remove the ice from the shaker tin with a strainer and then shake chilled mixture again for 10 seconds. Strain into a small rocks glass and garnish with three drops of the bitters. Using a straw, swirl the bitters and serve.
