The Elmore County Art Guild will host a juried art show as part of 2019’s TallaseeNOW Riverfest. The exhibits will be on display June 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Patterson Building, 101 North Ann St. behind Tallassee’s Trustmark Bank.
Artists are encouraged to submit works focused on scenes of Tallassee and surrounding areas. This year’s contest also will have a separate photography category. First, second, third place monetary prizes will be awarded in category one: photography and category two: all other two- and three-dimensional works. Honorable mentions in each category will receive ribbons and recognition.
A reception will be held Friday night, and winners will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at an awards ceremony.
The show is open to artist 18 years old and over, and up to five entries per artist will be accepted. ECAG members will be charged $8 per entry, and non-members will pay $15 per entry.
Artwork may be priced, and a 20 percent commission will go to ECAG if sold, or they could be marked not for sale.
